Description:Manuel I. 1143-1180 AD. EL Aspron Trachy. Constantinople mint. IC-XC to left and right of Christ, bearded and nimbate, standing facing on dais, holding book of gospels, usually a star to left and right / MANOVL to left, O-QE-O-W-P-O-S (or similar) to right, of Manuel, bearded and wearing crown, divitision and loros, and St. Theodore, bearded and nimbate, wearing military dress, both standing facing, each holding swords, and together holding a patriarchal cross between them with large globe at base pellet on cross shaft.
